Sliema’s stylish café landscape has been taken up a notch with the opening of Rocksalt, a new concept café, wine bar and gourmet food store that recently opened on Tigné Seafront.
Unlike its neighbours, Rocksalt is more of a wine and whisky bar than a coffee shop or sit down restaurant. It’s the place where foodies and wine lovers meet and mingle over delicious nibbles and drinks from lunchtime to late night. The food menu includes a variety of fresh antipasti, platters, dips, salads, soups and jacket potatoes that go down very well with the curated selection of wines on offer. Occasional specialities such as fresh oysters and caviar may be available from time to time and the menu will change seasonally with freshness and premium quality ingredients being the top most priority above everything else.
Another interesting aspect of the concept is that patrons can take a little bit of the Rocksalt experience and taste with them to enjoy at home or share with friends. The retail offering includes a selection of wines, whiskies and other alcoholic drinks, cigars, food books, glassware and serving accessories; as well as packaged and deli gourmet foods that are hand-picked to Rocksalt’s exacting standards.
